On 10 November 2022 our class visited the Cineplexx in Innsbruck. We watched two documentaries about the climate change.
The first film was a documentary by Sir David Attenborough: “Climate Change – The Facts”. It was very gripping, although a bit dystopic. The second film, “Zwischen Kohle und Klima. Drei Menschen, eine Geschichte”, was in German. It was interesting to see how three different people had very different opinions on the topic of coal power plants.
After the films we had a heated discussion about the climate change with:
- Mag. Erhard Berger, meteorologist ORF Tirol
- Anna-Lena Habsburg, climate activist
- Dhara Meyer, tirol 2050 / Energie Tirol
It was a special experience to learn something outside our classroom and we are looking forward to next term, when EU Youth Cinema is going to provide two or more new films.
